Description
The Cravenco means "Daughter of the Crau" in Provençal. The La Cravenco mill was founded in 1928 and resumed in 1963 by several families of olive growers. Some of these olive groves are crossed by the Roman aqueduct of Barbegal. Olive trees over 60 years have deep roots that will draw mineral salts from the lower layers of the Baux de Provence valley, thus giving the olive oil an ardor and exceptional aromas..
The mill now includes more than 600 small local olive growers and produce’organic olive oil, AOP Vallée des Baux , AOC Provence and Oil of France. Six main producers of Fontvieille, Raphèle-les-Arles and Saint-Martin-de-Crau represent more than 80 % from production.
The mill has invested in a new line for the preparation of olives with a complete chain including an optical sorter which makes it possible to discard olives of lower quality..
