Caraxès, the sweetness of rum and the refinement of pear
In Avignon, the Rhône splits in two then finds itself a few hundred meters lower to form the island of Barthelasse. This very fertile piece of land is home to many orchards, including those of Manguin Distillery.
This distillery, Williams pear brandy specialist (among others) had the brilliant idea of mixing into its flagship digestive, an old amber rum from the islands of Trinidad and Barbados in the Caribbean. A daring marriage whose result is of absolute finesse, both on the nose and in the mouth. Rum and pear follow each other without taking precedence over each other.
Caraxès
The name Caraxès is inspired by a rare and majestic Mediterranean butterfly, le “Charaxes Jasius”. This butterfly gorges itself on the ripe fruit of the orchards of Provence and flies staggering. More than a wink, this name is a symbol that perfectly characterizes this sweet taste of ripe fruit that you will find in the mouth.
